My older sister sent me a message tonight saying that she unfriended me and my hubby on FB last night because of a fight she got into with my mom on Saturday. She thinks that mom is "playing us all" on FB and that we'd have to find another way to communicate.
I'm speechless. I have no idea why she'd unfriend me over her ancient grudge she has with my mom. But okay. Whatever makes you feel better. Pish!
And here I thought she and I were getting along all right, after all those years at odds. I'm utterly confused.

Have you talked to her? I find that it's so easy to misunderstand in electronic communication... call her and see if she can clarify. Who knows, it may really be in good faith!
What Anonymous said... Maybe she doesn't want your mother reading whatever she posts on your wall? Or what you post on her? I would talk to her on the phone first, just to clarify what's going on. But I'm really sorry for all this, it sucks...

Anon and Spanish Prof - I have been too busy to try to talk to her. But I'm sure it'll happen at some point. Thing is, I would never unfriend family, no matter what they did. But that's just me.
